Star Plus’s hit show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is all set to bring high-voltage drama in the upcoming episodes as a fierce emotional clash unfolds between Abhira and Gitanjali over Maira.
Armaan, trying to right his past wrongs, sends Maira to live with Abhira, hoping she can finally be with her biological mother. However, Gitanjali strongly disapproves of his decision. She insists that Maira won’t be happy living with Abhira, as she has grown up with Gitanjali and Armaan, and that bond cannot be replaced overnight.
Armaan firmly tells Gitanjali to stop projecting her own desires onto Maira, stating that the child needs time and space to adjust to a life with Abhira. He believes that with patience and love, things can fall into place.
But Gitanjali is unwilling to let go. Desperate to bring Maira back to Mount Abu, she is ready to emotionally manipulate her into returning, regardless of what’s best for the child. Her determination shocks Armaan, who realises the extent to which she is willing to go, once again leaving Abhira heartbroken.
Armaan appears to do damage control for Abhira's broken heart
The battle between Abhira and Gitanjali over motherhood leaves Abhira emotionally shattered. Maira misses Gitanjali, the woman who has raised her with love and care, and Abhira understands that those deep emotional ties cannot be severed easily.
Abhira begins to feel that she can never take Gitanjali’s place in Maira’s heart. No matter how hard she tries or how much truth she reveals, that emotional space is already filled by Gitanjali. Armaan is caught in the middle, struggling to repair the damage caused by his past choices.
When Gitanjali arrives to take Maira back, she bluntly tells Abhira that she has lost her chance to be Maira’s mother and shouldn’t hope for that bond anymore. This crushes Abhira, who realises that the bond she longs for may never be hers.
Now the question remains, can Armaan bridge the gap and help Maira see that Abhira’s love for her is genuine and unconditional?
