Janmashtami celebrations bring happiness and excitement to the Poddar family, but the festive mood soon takes an emotional turn in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

A Raasleela competition becomes the centre of attention, with Nandini and Raghav Damani emerging victorious. Their win gives the Damani family the opportunity to perform the Maha Aarti, but the development does not sit well with Armaan.

While the celebrations continue, Nandini showers Maira with affection and praises her. Maira is happy to receive her appreciation and enjoys the attention. However, her happiness does not last for long. Armaan soon discovers that Maira had helped Nandini, and this leaves him furious.

Armaan's anger puts Maira in an extremely difficult situation. She is unable to understand why her father is so upset with her and becomes emotional. The situation becomes even more painful when Armaan confronts Maira in front of the family. His disappointment leaves Maira in tears.

Meanwhile, Maira also receives praise from Kabir. His words make her feel shy, and she later excitedly shares the moment with Mukti. However, Abhira overhears their conversation. This makes Abhira concerned about Maira's growing connection with the Damani family.

Maira seeks Abhira's help to calm down Armaan's temper

Maira eventually opens up to Abhira about what happened with Armaan. Abhira understands her daughter's situation and advises her to speak to Armaan calmly. Maira tries to win back her father's affection, but Armaan remains upset. Seeing Maira struggle, Abhira decides to step in.
