Star Plus show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is revolving around Manish Goenka not able to digest the fact that due to Akshara and Aarohi his name and family reputation is at stake.

Manish will stop talking to Akshara as he feels that Akshara fell in love with the wrong man and later blacken the name of the family by running away with him and leaving Aarohi behind as a the Dulhan.

He will feel that maybe he failed as a parent as he was not able to give proper upbringing to Akshara and Aarohi.
