YRKKH fame Jay Soni narrow escape from Mahakumbh Stampede

Jay Soni shot to fame after his stint in Sasural Genda Phool and his recent show Yeh Rishta Kya Khlata Hai where he played the character of Abhinav Sharma made him once again comeback as the top lead actor.

The acclaimed actor recently went to Mahakumbh along with his two brother’s mother and daughter and saw the horrible stampede in front of his eyes.

Jay shared, "Yes, the situation was extremely chaotic. While the management tried their best, the crowd wasoverwhelming. My brothers went missing in the commotion, but I refused to let go of my mother anddaughter's hands. Later, I contacted my brothers and told them to headstraight to the hotel rather than searching aimlessly in the crowd."

The shocking stampede occurred around 1 am to 2 am in the morning and the crowd became impossible to manage. Almost 30 people died during the stampede and many were rushed to hospital.

Luckily Jay Soni and his entire family is safe. Many social media influencers have pointed out that the arrangement in the Mahakumbh was not up to the mark as the officers and management failed to handle the overwhelming crowd during the religious gathering.
