Mere Angne Mein: Riya's (Ekta Kaul) grandmother and Shanti Devi are former best freinds, turned enemies 

Star Plus TV show Mere Angne Mein is a show based on clash of ideologies and opinions between Shanti Devi aka Krutika Desai matriarch of Shanti Sadan and Riya aka Ekta Kaul.

Riya is a modern and independent girl who is in love with Shivam (Karan Rajpat) who is Shanti Devi’s grandson.

Shanti Devi’s daughter Sarla wants to make her Son Amit marry with Riya only for money in form of Dowry while Amit adamant Riya.

Riya agreed to marry her son Shivam due to some misunderstanding created by Sarla.
