His character initially revolved around Tejashwini. Makers first tried building a love story between Ruturaj and Tejashwini, but this pairing was not popular with viewers.

They then shifted focus to Tejashwini and Neil, and Ruturaj's character turned negative, making Tejashwini's life difficult.

However, these attempts did not seem to boost the TRP. Eventually, the makers decided to completely end Tejashwini's storyline to tackle the falling ratings.

This led to the big decision to bring back Bhayavika Sharma as Savi. Savi has re-entered the show as ACP Savi Thakkar.

The season featuring Savi and Rajat was a big hit, which is why the makers decided to bring back Savi and the whole Thakkar family.

However, the story also showed Rajat's death alongside Tejashwini, meaning he is permanently gone from the show.

Interestingly, currently, it seems viewers are not happy about Savi's return at all and are even demanding that the show end permanently.

This is why the makers decided to end Ruturaj's character, and he is soon expected to be killed off in the serial.
